The Mic Mob
The Mic Mob is a collective of working commercial and character voice actors. We bring words to life across every corner of the creative world, from YouTube series and indie films to commercials, narration, and beloved Bethesda game mods for Skyrim, Fallout, and Starfield.
What began as a friendly way to stay sharp has grown into a monthly creative tradition. Our Mic Mob Challenges invite members to stretch their range, experiment with sound design, and practice the full process of home-studio production, including mixing, scoring (adding music for mood and pacing), and layering licensed or original sound effects. Each challenge becomes a mini masterclass in performance, storytelling, and collaboration.
Our members use a wide variety of gear, from travel-friendly microphones to full professional rigs, and we’ll be sharing more about that as the blog grows. You’ll find posts filled with some submitted performances, behind-the-scenes notes, and the occasional tip for voice actors building their craft or home studio.
